Over more than two decades at Evercore, Naveen has advised on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $700 billion, sitting at the table for some of the most consequential M&A deals in technology, media, and telecommunications history. His landmark transactions include Synopsys' acquisition of Ansys, Qualcomm's defense against Broadcom's hostile takeover, Microsoft's acquisition of Nuance Communications, Dell's tracking stock merger with VMware, and Sealed Air's sale to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice. He is widely regarded as one of Wall Street's most prolific TMT dealmakers and a member of Evercore's Management Committee. Beyond his work at Evercore, Naveen serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Rochester, where he chairs the Investment Committee, as well as the boards of The Hotchkiss School and the National Council of the National Park Foundation. Naveen Nataraj is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking, U.S. at Evercore, one of the world's leading independent investment banking advisory firms. He is also a member of Evercore's Management Committee. Based in New York, Mr. Nataraj focuses on advising companies in the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sector, where he has built a reputation as one of Wall Street's most prolific TMT dealmakers. Over more than two decades at Evercore, Mr. Nataraj has advised on transactions with an aggregate value exceeding $700 billion. His landmark deals include Synopsys' acquisition of Ansys, Qualcomm's defense against Broadcom's hostile takeover attempt, Microsoft's acquisition of Nuance Communications, Dell's tracking stock merger with VMware, Sealed Air's sale to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Dayforce's take-private by Thoma Bravo, GHX's sale to Veritas Capital, Conservice's recapitalization with TPG, and NCH's sale to Solenis. He is regularly recognized among the most active senior bankers advising large-cap technology, media, and telecom companies on strategic M&A and complex shareholder situations. Prior to joining Evercore in 2002, Mr. Nataraj was a Founding Partner of Saturn Venture Partners, a $280 million venture capital fund formed in conjunction with Telecom Italia and focused on the communications, enterprise networking, and software sectors. Earlier, he was a Vice President at Sandler Capital Management, where he was responsible for principal investing in growth equity and venture capital opportunities. He began his career as a Financial Analyst in the Global Telecommunications and Technology Group at Bear, Stearns & Co., where he executed a wide range of equity and debt financings as well as M&A transactions. Mr. Nataraj serves on the Board of Trustees of the University of Rochester, where he chairs the Investment Committee. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Hotchkiss School and on the National Council of the National Park Foundation. Together with his wife Courtney, he committed $1 million to the University of Rochester's "Together for Rochester" diversity, equity, and inclusion scholarship challenge. Mr. Nataraj received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Rochester in 1997, where he graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
